Why did this happen to me when I was working out?

ok i was doing cycling class (bicycle on a stand and uses a knob to add resistence) and all of the sudden 30 min into the workout I feel my body temp skyrocket and my energy disapears, i slow down and walk out of the class, my hands and feet get numb and i get extreamly light headed.

i havent changed my diet in the past 6 months, been eating healthy and im always drinking water with an occasional gatoraide. anyone got a clue how or why this happend to me? (btw, iv been doing this class for almost a year)

It possible you had low potassium. Do you eat before your spin class? Try eating a banana before your class in addition to what you did before and see if that helps. Good Luck

It sounds like a problem with your blood pressure, would consult a Dr as soon as you can.
hi iam physiotherapist and yoga instructer...u have not mentaioned your age and weight ....as u have said that u will bee doing bicyle for 30 mints ....mucsle will shiver becuase u will get mucsle fatigue its due to heavy strain to leg mucsle and as u doo lot of cycling blood in the lwer body pushes up to upper body this causes the rise in temperature in the body...as u do work out body regulates temparature in farm of sweating so u need not worry....ok let mee say u soloution for it first start warm up for the legs and slowely increase the speed u do ok and do to too much of exesises also it may cause wear and tear in joints so its also one of the cause of strain u feel while walk so take healthy food and do cycleing in alternate days ok........1.) take rest for every ten mints of cycling 2.) do hamstring and quedriceps streachings 3.) take lot of water and healthy diet like vitmains and minarals and energy giving food ok ....alll the best if u have any douts u can ask mee
Sounds like a blood pressure issue. Please consult your doctor right away. You also might have low blood sugar.

Please go see a doctor.

When was the last time you ate before your spin class? If you hadn't eaten for several hours your body was probably starved of the nutrients needed to support your level of exercise. How much water did you drink on this particular day? If you drank excessive amounts of water you may have robbed your body of needed electrolytes.

If you are truly concerned about this and it continues to happen, go see your doctor.
