I have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. Had it for a little over a year with no problems barring regular maintenance, wear and tear, etc. About a month ago my check engine light came on. Within a week or so after my driver side headlight burned out, first time replacing one on this car. Last night I started it and the driver's side headlight burned out again and the air bag light stayed on.
It is due for a new timing belt in about 1,500 miles and oil change in about 500. It squeals a lot especially when taking corners when first starting up for about five minutes. Not sure if any of that is relevant but just giving all the info. Any idea what this could be caused by? About how much should I expect to pay to get it fixed?
Check engine light, air bag light, two head lights on same side in three weeks..help?
Have the alternator checked out by an auto electrician.

sounds like you have a short in your electrical system. hope you aren't using cheap fuses from like the dollar tree or anything... used them in my car, a 15amp fuse didn't pop like it should have, melted the plastic of the fuse and melted a LOT of my wires... needless to say i replaced all my fuses with some decent ones.
either that or you may have a grounding problem or an exposed wire causing shorts in your system.
electrical stuff gets pricey quick. very quick. find a place that will do a free inspection and give you an estimate... assuming that is the problem.
it would have nothing to do with your oil or belt that i am aware of. squeaking is just the belt saying it is time to be replaced... and you don't want to put that off either, that can cause even worse damage if it breaks.
