How do you change flash pattern on Whelen 9M Strobe Light bar?

I know the instruction manual says to momentarily apply 12V to the %26quot;appropriate socket on the power supply%26quot;. How do you know what the appropriate socket is and knowing that, what do you use or how do you apply 12V momentarily to change the flash pattern? Also, on a 8 strobe head model light bar, can you change out the front halogen flashers for inboard strobe tubes without having to rewire anything?|||ssd
